This project in Inglewood required the highly sought-after engineering expertise Alpha Earthworks offers to successfully complete the basement excavation in conjunction with the multi-level building progression of the apartment complex.

Alpha Earthworks completed the preparation and final trim of the ground floor slab, which would later become the roof of the basement excavation and the foundations of the apartment complex.

Once the ground floor slab had cured sufficiently, the basement excavation began, involving multiple tracked loaders, an excavator, ventilation and gas detection equipment, traffic management and bulk material haulage.

The expertise within Alpha Earthworks and Civil ensured all safety aspects of the project were considered concerning risk assessments, SOPs and relevant training.

The basement excavation’s duration lasted 6 weeks, and approximately 8000m3 of sand removed.

This site is located approximately 5km from Perth CBD and required sufficient planning and expertise project management execution for a successful outcome.
